There’s always something to howl about.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is up at Altos Research Real Estate Insights. Plenty of great reading, including three posts from BloodhoundBlog contributors.

And… The Carnival of Real Estate Investing is up at The Flipping Pad. Michael Cook one with The Real Risk in Real Estate Flipping, one of the five posts he wrote last week that could have taken first prize.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is up at Lansner on Real Estate at the Orange County Register. Writing from The San Diego Home Blog, Kris Berg took fifth place for her playful rant on open house signs. Russell Shaw came in second place with his not-at-all-playful rant on the folly of real estate discounting.

The Carnival of Real Estate Investing is at the Real Estate Investing Blog. We entered a great Jeff Brown post, but Jeff and the CoREI are writing the other chapters of The Secret — The Law of Mutual Repulsion — so he didn’t win. He’ll be crushed if he ever does, so here’s to his unbroken streak of ratifying if not totally gratifying disappointments.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is at TransparentRE. I can’t tell who won, so I’m left with the assumption that Kris Berg did not win, either with Sensible Flats and Social Responsibility or Houses Grow on Trees – Redfin Continues Quest for World Domination. O, cruel fortune!

Sadly, Jeff Brown, with An Example — How To Answer A Client’s Question, was also an also-ran at The Carnival of Real Estate Investing. Without intending to criticize, this Carnival comes off to me like a sort of hobby forum, something involving elaborate power tools and several exotic varieties of adhesives. Jeff writes about investing, so he’s always wide of the mark. The available categories in the entry form don’t even address what he does. Go figure…

But: In the somewhat-less-subjective world of “objective” journalism, Kris Berg emerges as a star Realtor in San Diego. More on this coup at The San Diego Home Blog.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is up at Trulia Blog. Jay Thompson did well with Why Do So Many Agents Fear Zillow? We entered and lost with Zillow.com at the Dawn of the Age of Abundance: Working for free is not a crime, trying to forbid it is… That post scored well at the Carnival of the Capitalists.

The Carnival of Real Estate Investing is at EquityScout.com. Two BloodhoundBlog contributors were represented in the results: Brian Brady writing at Long Beach Real Estate with How To Get The Best Home Loan – Neatness Counts When You Want a Home Loan and Jeff Brown with Designations — Real Education — Marketing — Give Me A Break.

Plenty of great writing at all three carnivals. Give ’em a look.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is at Renthusiast, in London. The affair takes on an international flair, but, for good or ill, real estate weblogging is still largely an American phenomenon.

Top prize went to China Law Blog for “Real Estate Investments in China Seminar.” BloodhoundBlog scored somewhere in the middle of the pack with Russell Shaw’s presentation at the StarPower Summit.

As a reminder, the Russell Shaw Sales Success Seminar is tomorrow night. If you’re anywhere near Phoenix, this event could have a profound effect on your income.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is up at The Phoenix Real Estate Guy. The scheduled weblog had gone missing, so Jay Thompson jumped in to fill the void.

Brian Brady and I took top honors for our Zillow coverage. Brian wrote seven more entries on Active Rain and on his home weblog. Why so much coverage? Because, love it or hate it, Zillow’s new release has the potential to change the way real estate is promoted on-line.

Jay broke the rules to name us as this week’s winners, but I think he was right to do so. Whatever you think of Zillow.com, their announcement last week was big news.

But it wasn’t the only news, as you’ll see when you take a look at the other great entries. While you’re there, tip your hat to Jay for giving up part of his Easter weekend for the Carnival.

The Carnival of Real Estate . . .

…is at miOaklandCounty, Maureen Francis’ weblog. Teri Lussier’s introductory post came in fifth place,* not bad for a start.

With his post Persistence: The Investors Greatest Tool, Michael Cook took top honors at The Carnival of Real Estate Investing, hosted this week by the Ral Estate Investing for Real Blog.

Plenty of good reading at both carnivals, so get thee hence.

*Foot(-in-mouth-)note: I think I have this wrong. Teri came in “in no particular order” (sounds like second place to me πŸ˜‰ ) and FBS Blog, one of my personal faves, took first prize.
