In one sense, it is too bad everybody doesn’t use Microsoft’s new search, since I had two of the top ten places for Chelan real estate today. That’s higher than I rank on Google. Check it out at www.bing.com.
It also has a window that opens when your cursor it to the right of each search result that gives more information. I like that feature. I wonder how many bugs they found today?

I came up on the number one spot for both of my major search terms and noticed that all results were cached.
Does google’s algorithm give more weight to cached url’s?
Interesting find Al….thanks for that!

This is a very favorable search engine for some of my searches too.
Al, thanks for pointing this out.

I can live with Bing. We had 3 of the top 4 spots for one of our area’s most competitive search terms. I’ll have to do some further research on Bing as we are not showing up under the business listings.

Joe,
It looks to me like Bing uses yellowpages.com for their business listings. They do have a free listing. I had the same issue and put in a free listing with yellowpages.com, but the listing hasn’t gone through yet so I am not absolutely sure that fixed it.

I have been using Bing off and on now for the past few days and I think the jury is still out for me. As far as our rankings, we were about the same. Our primary 2 search phrases are mortgage marketing and mortgage CRM; and this morning we were about the same on both engines. As far as usability goes, I think I am still just used to Google. There is nothing wrong with the Bing interface; it is just not as familiar to me. In fact, someone told me the other day the name Bing is actually an acronym for ‘But It’s Not Google’.
