Again, I found this:
Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it’s yours. -Ayn Rand
If your reading this, chances our, the world is yours. Don’t get discouraged by the losers, mediocrities and mealy mouthed pieces of excrement that want to homogenize the best among us.

That’s lovely.
Where did you find this?
Nothing I’ve read of her’s is quite so poetic.

Whenever the events of the day, and this crazy world overwhelm me, I do turn to Ayn Rand and she helps to put things in perspective and make sense of things that are sometimes (often) senseless.
Last year, I re-read Atlas Shrugged after 15 years. This time out loud with my wife. A highly recommended exercise!

Good stuff, Chris. I strongly suspect Rand’s books are experiencing a spike in sales. About the fifth time someone hears the phrase, “Who is John Galt?” they want to know more.

I think so too. Lately, I have been reading a lot about Ayn Rand and quotes on the internet – so appropriate for the times.

I agree with Jeff. I know I bought a new copy myself last month after not having read this book in close to 20 years. I must say I’m having a helluva time getting through it this time around: very dense and much too prophetic…

There has been huge spike in Atlas Shrugged sales since President Obama took office. This is no surprise….

Every day and every week we seem to be more in the world of Atlas Shrugged.

Robert Taylor says:
This quote nearly brought tears to my eyes. Ever since I abandoned Christianity, I’ve been looking for a quote that was similiar to the one in the Bible; to paraphrase; “do not be afraid…you will walk and not be weary, you will fly like the wings of eagles”.
I feel regret for millions of those people that fail to recognize the depth of Ayn Rand and her romanticist literary nature…her ability to imbed a great, living philosophy into her literature.
