What a blessing we have in Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY). Last year he single-handedly protected us from having to spend one more day in a world where IndyMac Bank was a viable institution. Now he’s there for us again. Did you know that traditional values were gone? I didn’t. Here I was walking around and thinking that hard work, honor, respect and responsibility were still in vogue – I could have made a real ass of myself! Thank you Sen. Schumer, once again you’ve taken that bullet for me…

Don Reedy says:
Sean,
This past month, one of my best friends, Rex Shroder, passed away. He was “Mr. Traditional Values”, husband, loving father, ex-Marine, ex-FBI, actor, community man, etc. He meant a lot to me, and his values perhaps even more.
The kind of rhetoric Schumer is spewing is so repugnant to anyone who holds their own “traditional values” in esteem that it is impossible for me to comment without wanting to take some physical action against this “untraditional values elected official.” But Rex wouldn’t want that. He WOULD, however, want you to keep bringing these kinds of traitorous villains to the light of day, and for all of us to stop for a moment to reflect upon our own values, traditional values, honest traditional values, and remember and never lose sight of the meaning of those values.
This discourse, on a topic so dear, comes on a weekend where traditional Christian values are “allowed”, but ever so eroded by the likes of the Schumerists. I say, then, on reflection, that both myself and Rex would like to thank you for gifting from yourself the honest outcry of the endangered traditionalist. Salute, Sean…

Sean Purcell says:
Nancy – if we don’t have traditional values, what values do we have? Damn good question. I believe they’re left with the flaccid philosophy of moral equivalency…
Don – sorry to hear of your friend’s passing; he sounds like someone anyone would benefit by knowing. I think you hit the nail on the head. Citizens of this great country must take responsibility for its direction. Otherwise, the steering is left to pinheads like Mr. Schumer.
Karen – arrogance is a great assessment. The arrogant ignorance of those who live in the theoretical and the arrogant disdain spewed by the elitists who’ve found tenure in Congress.

That people of his ilk are held up as leaders and are continually re-elected is galling. (It confuses me, too.)
In spring a young man’s fancy should be turning lightly to thoughts of love, but I find myself pondering the potential of a bucket of tar, an old goose down pillow and a rail.

It took me a few days to stop laughing before I could finish the rest of this post.
Love the hand waving.

Steve – I wonder too. I believe the system is rigged to provide reelection as much as possible, but still… are the people in New York that liberal? that clueless? that uninterested? what?
Darren – another infuriating bit of drivel from Sen. Schumer. Thanks for sharing – now I’ll have a hard time falling asleep again tonight. 🙂
Teri – I appreciate the compliment, but how did you know I was waving my hands when I watched this? What else did you see… 🙂
John – tomorrow should be pretty interesting…
