A few things that are almost posts. Wanted to put the thoughts into the Echo Chamber, quote song lyrics, and rock my baby Ruby to sleep since pretty Heather is all sick and stuff. So here’s the best of my drafts.
[1] You’re Jammin‘ Me. I’m opting out of the political spew. There’s plenty of negativity. But really, I’m not into what the house, Senate, Obama does. There’s not a dimes worth of difference between conservatism and socialism. Neither are freedom. When we can stop genuflecting to abstract hierarchies and live and die by our individual contributions, we’ll be in a better place. So, I’m recommending no more recoiling at the political BS. Instead, I’m going to outpace everyone, including the looters. I’m going to buy some gold, to be sure, but I’m going to keep moving forward. No energy will be wasted. I’ll run as fast as I can, and hopefully that will be enough to outrace the Horde.
[2] I don’t care what they say about us anyway… There is a profound difference to be here. I went after Greg Swann, publicly , and in the comments with regard to him collecting money for Heap . I never suspected his motives, but I wanted to guard against the appearance of impropriety. He…gave a harrumph and now the Heap money will go to Charity. I came at Greg hard enough to trigger 4 emails to me (I’ve never had 4 emails from one post). I’m still allowed to post here. Compare that to the comment I left elsewhere that prompted a shrill and bizarre call from a quavering webblogger on a Saturday morning…in may of 2008, and you know that we’re about ideas, and we’re all gonna change course when we’re wrong, or when we appear to some to be wrong. It’s seriously different here, and if you can realize that, email Greg. He won’t take your face off of a sidebar for taking pot shots at him.
[3] You Got a Lotta Nerve…To Say You Are My Friend …Never, ever try to start a relationship with anyone esp. ME by talking about someone in an ill light. Even quavering webbloggers. If you do, don’t be shocked and aghast when I loop them in the conversation. You can’t be nice in public and twist the knife when there’s a chance. That’s the lowest form of human behavior. The first contact you have with me should never be to disparage anyone that you are nice to publicly. I’ll assume that you’ll be doing that publicly. I’ve taken my share of potshots, but I’m over it. I think some people are creeps. I’m not afraid of calling them creeps. Chances are, I don’t have an opinion about you, until you try to rope me into a ‘creep a thon.’
[4] Take It Easy, Baby, Don’tcha gimme no lip. Method Neutral Success. I cold call not because I love it, but because it works. We should be teaching things that work. Many of us have a need to win with one weapon. You don’t build a bridge with a grenade, even though you might need a bridge and have a grenade. Dumb. Let’s be Jack Bauer. We can kill with our bare hands, an ink pen, or anything else that happens to work. The end, see, is skinned cats.
[5] Extraordinary Machines: Demonstration of virtuosity. That’s why I blog. I want people to know what to expect. I do it so I can demonstrate the standards I uphold. And I read blogs and seek oujt kindred spirits. In all the real estate blogs I’ve seen, I have never seen a better example of virtuosity than Sam Miller’s, Knox County’s human MLS (doing 45% of his boards total transactions). Try this post . And this one.
On an unrelated note, I miss the congenial absurdity that Athol Kay brought to the RE.NET.

Now that is a great attitude. I wish more people would take that approach. On top of that, I wish some people would stop trying to suppress others opinions. We all have then, it is our right to express them in a non disparaging way.
