The weblog for 214 South 122nd Av is live. Not as easy as it might have been, not as hard as it could have been. I’m not 100% thrilled with the weblog template, but my plan is to vary them to fit the house in any case. What I have now is maybe 70% of the up-front effort to do another one. Cameron has been iteratively rewriting our content engine to work in any environment, and winching it into place here was relatively painless.
No new search results for “214 South 122nd Av”, but when I search on the tagline for these pages, I find every one of them — when everything but index.php was created yesterday afternoon.
It will take two or three more before I can do these with dispatch, but this wasn’t bad…

I think it looks pretty good, Greg, for your first go. I like the idea of alternating templates to try and match the home’s story. I’m not a big fan of separate windows for images, though (But kudos for including so many LARGE images).

Thanks. I’m “cheating” to make the introductory matter stay at the top. If I can find a template that lets me get away with it, I’ll put that and everything else in an iFrame and make it all run off of one browser page.

Looks great, Greg. Two pieces of advice (take ’em or leave ’em):
1. Make it a “live” Google Map – http://www.jasonblogs.com/sitemapper/
2. Instead of announcing the open house midway down the page, make it a “permanent” page with a link to it near the top (right under the image?). I’d also include an “add this to Outlook / Google Calendar button,” but I’m not sure what the easiest way to do that would be. Maybe make a public Google Calendar for the house and put the ical feed on the blog?

It looks good, but I wonder if it would be easier overall to just do a video and embedd it somewhere else. I do think that within a couple of years photos will be second best to video. The map to the Open House etc is perfect.

Oh, that rocks! I’ll put it together tomorrow.
I’ll see what I can cook up for a calendar.
Thanks!
