Cole Porter, New York sophisticate, creates a classic cowboy song. How’s that for freedom?
Byrne created this for the “Red, Hot, and Blue” Aids fund raiser cd.

My mother use to sing this to me at night before bedtime (she was a very good singer by the way)
If I remember correctly it started off (at least her version):
Wild Cat Willy was a’lookin mighty pale
Standing by the jailers side
And when that Sherriff said

Wildcat hung his head and cried
then it breaks out into the song.

My favorite line of this song is somewhat obscured in the video:
