I think Sean Purcell called blogging “Mayoral Marketing” about a week ago. While I’m certain that Seth didn’t appropriate Sean’s idea, the concept is awfully sound.
Pardon the trip down memory lane, but I remember my mother’s first broker likening farming to “running for office”. His advice was to become the key influencer among the Rotarians, Kiwanis, Women’s Clubs, and PTAs in your community.

The large gathering of Real Estate agents Seth mentions was the Keller Willimas convention in Atlanta. The keynote he delivered was eye opening. I’ve been working on localising my on-line presence but to hear a luminary like Seth clearly state real estate is local, get this or get out of the business, was a call to action that couldn’t be misunderstood.
