Greg and Cameron, and later Greg and I were trying to think of a Christmas song written more recently than Fogelberg’s; then this morning on the Today Show KT Tunstall covered 2000 Miles. Coldwater also has a cover of this, but I don’t think anyone has improved upon Chrissie Hynde. Besides, Chrissie’s from Akron, where I spent all of my childhood Christmases with my grandparents.

That’s true, but Same Auld Lang Syne is set in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. I can see every scene in that song.
