Warren Zevon’s Mohammed’s radio for Russell Shaw, recovering pirate broadcaster:
Patty Loveless has one of the richest high lonesome voices in newgrass. This video, You’ll never leave Harlan alive, is all but nothing visually, but that’s really not a defect: The sound is so rich that just about anything would get in its way. This is very nice exposition of people who are chained everywhere they look.
To close, Enid, because there’s never enough BNL:

Russell Shaw says:
Thank you for the Warren Zevon song – as in “this one goes out to Russell Shaw”. I used to like to dedicate commercials and entire commercial breaks to listeners too. The song by Patty Loveless is my all time favorite song by her. I am thinking I’ve played that particular song of hers less than 200 times. But more than 100. Who needs a video with that one?

The recording industry. YouTube is a way of sharing music they haven’t destroyed. Yet.
There is a Brad Paisley version of You’ll never leave Harlan alive, also. Sometimes I’ll set the two of them up in a two song playlist and let them play together for hours. Cathy loves it when I do stuff like that.
