OK, you have surpassed any expectations I had Greg. You may know by this point I’m a big “fan boy” of the unchained melodies series (my submission sits in your email box somewhere). Johnny Cash knew how to own a cover song. I was lucky enough to visit Sun Studios in Memphis over Thanksgiving to learn more about the history of the man in black. Choice selection from a legend who knew a thing or two about integrity. Keep em coming.

Bless you, sir. Thank you.
As a matter of disclosure, the formal name for American III is “Unchained.” The title track is gospel, but the album was hugely influenced by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, of whom you can catch glimpses in this video.
If you take all the sons-in-laws of Johnny Cash, you could set up a little Cash Hall of Fame.
And having said that, I need to dig around for a video of Seven Year Ache…

Speaking of Johnny, how about this one about our love affairs (read “obsessions”) with blogging: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7K4jH7NqUw. The sentiment sure seems right on…. Heck, this one works for the same sentiment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRlj5vjp3Ko&feature=related (if you’re so inclined, here’s a version with pic of Johnny giving the one fingered salute: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdSnkSqrXGw&feature=related).
