The trouble with trade shows is the shopportunities. I can restrain myself, by Cathy can be suggestible. Jeff Brown had been talking to me about after-dark lights for our yard signs, but it wasn’t until StarPower, when Cathy saw the product offered by ListingLight.com, that we bought into the idea:
That’s flash photography. The light emitted by the ListingLight is adequate for reading at night, but taking a useful picture would require a tri-pod. Even so, they do the job. Where every other sign on the street is an unreadable silhouette, ours pop out at a distance.
Is it enough to sell the house? Perhaps not, but every little thing helps. There’s no telling when the buyer is coming by, and, even in Arizona, evenings are dark in Winter.

Saw a similar product at NAR Vegas. My first thought was “cool”, followed rapidly by, “someone will steal it”. How is the light attached to the sign?

It will be interesting to see if the batteries last as long as advertised on the web site. (6-8 weeks). It would be a bummer to run around replacing batteries all the time.

Everything is assembled with a custom screwdriver. Nothing can be stolen without going after the post with a chain saw.

So far, so good. In colder climates, batteries underperform, which might be a consideration.

Hi Gregg.
I’ve seen one of those lights used by an agent near where I live, and they look horrible, kinda like Portable “Bookmark” lights for hardcover books that you get for $9.99 at Borders. I didn’t like them one bit. The reflecting signs are better; but in your case it looks like they’d be more expensive.
If the house is overpriced a light and sound design company couldn’t help you sell the house, let alone a “puny” little light like that..
Save your money, Gregg…

Jim,
So if the house is price right would it hurt to place a spotlight on it?
I have also looked at those reflective signs and the company I looked at was less expensive then where I currently get my signs so I’m looking at getting some.

Night lighting is ignored by 99.99999% of agents- we’ve had very good luck by making the sign and home visible at night.
Thanks for sharing your marketing with us, Greg π

Once again BHR raises the bar for the competition. I suggest we call this “Daylight Spent” marketing. We market the home even after your Saved Daylight Time has been spent.
Does AZ save daylight? We do in Texas.
Greg- Do you have a reflective coating on your custom signs, or would that make it prohibitive?
