Good grief. I do hope there are additional forms to be filled out. What’s a goofy new policy without goofy new paperwork? That’s how you know you’ve got a job…

Does this mean they’ve been chauffeuring unqualified and unapproved buyers around all this time?
It would be funny, except to think about all the times they’ve inconvenienced Sellers, who might have ran around to clean up the house, get the dog to the kennel, loaded up the kids and vacated the property, all for an unqualified buyer to come in and track mud all over the nice clean floors, buyers who may have been unable to actually qualify to purchase the house and who should never have been let in the door.
Pre-approving buyers prior to showing them homes is Real Estate 101, folks.

$10,000 rebates. These guys are playing for million dollar buyers, I guess, and they don’t know if the buyer can buy the house? In our market, million dollar homes are mostly accompanied by the listing agent. Rousting the listing agent and seller for an unqualified buyer is a great way to generate word of mouth in the board room.
Showing Instructions: Accompanied. Redpin: please submit your buyer’s financial statement before setting showing appointment.

It’s been interesting to watch Redfin evolve into a real estate brokerage. Useful for the industry, too, benefiting from OPM paying for market research.
