It’s translucent plastic. It’s clean. No photo. It’s different than any other card. People always comment on it and remember it.
You’ll just have to pretend you can see through Rudy’s card. I think this is a fun idea. Might be cool to try on a very heavy vellum, also. As with size, texture calls attention to itself. We print our cards on a very heavy stock, just because so many Realtor cards are printed on the cheapest lightly-coated card stock. We UV coat front and back. It’s necessary in the Phoenix sun, but it also just feels lush. I’ve watched people rub my cards between their fingers. We are monkeys with minds. The quickest path to the mind can be through the monkey.

One CCIM broker I know uses cards that are not totaly clear, but they have a foggy look. You do tend to remember its him without having to look at it.
When I burn through my first batch of a thousand cards I may do something like that.

Looking forward to the ongoing discussion of business cards. I am wondering if folks believe, as I do, that it is important to be able to write on the back of the card….? Thanks!

Why in the world does anyone need that many phone numbers? You may like the material it’s written on. But I find the amount of phone numbers distracting and hard to read.

Mary,
I agree. Wow! to confusing and frustrating to the consumer. Give’em one number that they know you will answer. They don’t want to chase you down dialing a bunch of numbers.

I have to agree with the amount of data on that card being overwhelming and too busy. Having just one number, a mobile, is the easiest for the consumer and I found myself just looking at all the numbers, saying “what’s all that about?” As for writing on the backs of cards, since I began using two-sided cards about two boxes ago, I have found myself wishing at times that I had a place to jot notes on the back.
I too have seen the clear cards and do like the way they stand out, just not enough to copy the idea I guess.

I have my cell, office, and fax numbers on my card. I may get rid of the fax for the next batch and just have two. As said above people don’t want to chase you down, they just want to dail a number and have you pick it up.
