You should celebrate, embrace, enfold and exalt your independence – because there is no alternative to it.
All organisms persist in their defiance of entropy from the inside out. Each and every one of them – including you – is exclusively internally motivated, unmoved by any external causes beyond physics itself. Yes: It was you who didn’t do the dishes. Who knew?
If you resent your essential, inescapable autonomy, I don’t know what to do for you: There is no alternative to reality. But if you do as I advise and truly honor your independence – that is when you will discover America.
