We’re adding two new contributors today:
Lani Anglin is the Texas-proud provocateuse at the spunky Realtor Wives weblog. By day, she works as a rainmaker for Single Pointe Realty. With two kids, three cats, a dog and her husband, she finds a way to stay busy.
Jeff Kempe knows a thing or two about Nordstrom service, having sold for them and to them for many years. Jeff has been selling real estate in Lake Oswego, Oregon, a suburb of Portland, for the last three years.
Norma Newgent hasn’t had the time to give to BloodhoundBlog lately, so I’ve moved her off of the main rotation for now.
We’re heavy on Realtors, and I think this is a great strength. But we are necessarily at the mercy of the vicissitudes of the real estate market. When the market turns hard, we’re going to need a tire iron to pry extra hours out of the day.
In any case, Lani and Jeff are both very interesting writers, and I know they’ll bring new insights to us. Lani’s in a tough spot, though. Lexically, she lands above Kris Berg on the list of contributors, but my bet is that no one can eclipse Kris in the weblogger’s art.
When will BloodhoundBlog stop growing? When we run out of things to howl about…

Lani (or ARW as she refered to online) has been hands down the most important asset to our team at SPR. She brings with her a fantastic insight into how Realtors, and the industry are perceived by consumers in our market. She is many times a voice of reason and is not afraid to take on tough issues she believes in. I know all of you will get a kick out of her take on our business and practices.

Welcome Lani and Jeff!
I’m not familiar with Jeff’s stuff yet – but I have been to the Realtor’s Wives blog a time or two…
Uh oh – Kris Berg is no longer at the top of the pack. Now you know this won’t do, Greg. π

When I get a moment, I’m going to randomize it. Cat will mew, and Swann will have his day at the top opf the list. π

Lani I “know” pretty well. We’ve exchanged pleasantries on and off line. She’ll be an *excellent* addition to the pack. Plus, she’s a Longhorn fan — that HAS to bode well.
Jeff I don’t know, yet. But if he passed the Bloodhound test, he’s gotta be good.
Looking forward to seeing more of both of them.

Done. The Frequent Contributors list is all PHP, running out of the User Profiles database. It was nothing to randomize it. Should have done it a long time ago. Now the list will be in random order every time the sidebar is refreshed.

It’s a wee bit jumbled when I view it in Firefox (but looks fine in IE7…).
Looks like it needs a forced line break after each site/blog link. I’m pretty much PHP clueless. If it was HTML, a after each link seems like it would fix it. I assume PHP has a similar function? Here’s a link to a screen shot…

That was supposed to say “a after each site/blog link”…

ARGH! It’s not displaying the code (though it looks fine in preview)… You know what a HTML line break tag looks like… “BR” with the “less than” and “greater than” signs on either side….

See Greg? You messed it all up! (Guess I will have to publish a post every 37 seconds to overcome your evil randomizing plan).
Lani and Jeff – Yea! This will be (more) fun. Welcome.

Dumb mistake on my part. The leading <P> was appearing only once. It’s fixed now. Thanks for the catch!
