Thanks. It won’t last. In natural click traffic, we come in around 12th or 13th. We’re stronger on RSS subscriptions, but the bubbleblogs have all the top of the list, for now.
Redfin linkage for the win. My old blogsite that has a couple of posts asking how buyer rebates are viewed from a tax standpoint and referencing Redfin jumped up from 100ish to 60ish.
That being said. Well done, you do have to have the content in place to captailize on “good weather”.
The Real Estate category of Blogtopsites is what many larger real estate weblogs use to measure their relative performance. The site measures click performance — entry from hard links or search engine results — so it misses out on our RSS and email subscriptions. Even so, it gives us some idea of how we are doing with respect to other weblogs. In general, bubbleblogs live at the top of the list for now, with industry- and consumer-focused weblogs falling further back in the pack. We managed to hit fourth place last night (we’re in fifth right now) in part because of the surge in Redfin-related traffic and in part because the Blogtopsites folks seem to have thrown out some weblogs that didn’t belong in the real estate category.
Congrats, that is awesome Greg! I think I will open a good bottle of something if I break the 100 mark…for now, I’ll keep looking at my blogflare rank (even though I am last) to stay motivated writing content.
My condolences, I just looked at your blogtopspot ranking and bloodhound is now 8, in just a matter of three short hours you have lost 100 percent in ranking. Annualized there won’t even be a bloodhound blog in a few months.
However, I am fortunate in the same period of time our Tucson Real Estate blog has gone from 58 to 68 only loosing 17% of our audience. We should last a little longer at this rate.
I learned this mathematical logic from gloom and doom commenters on our blog about the real estate market in Tucson.

Greg, could you explain what that means? I know it’s a ranking but what relevance does it have?

Nothing like some good old fashioned controversy to boost the ratings! π
Seriously, nice work Greg, and I don’t write it off to the Redfin blip – you and the fellow hounds are really taking things to the next level.
