Appended below is the Fox New Channel footage from this morning. Later today I’ll have our own video verit&233; version of the extravaganza.
I think I’ve said before that this sort of thing is akin to being a piece of waxed fruit in a centerpiece: You’re there not because there is some inherent worth to you or to what you have to say, but, rather, because you fit just right in the overall composition.
I’m not griping. If you want to talk on someone else’s dime, you do it on their terms. But, as will be clear as you watch, I was a totally fungible commodity in this broadcast, the nod who was every bit as good as a wink.
Our tape is more fun, I think, but conversion to iPod format takes time, so you have to wait.
My takeaways, conferred upon me mere moments after the taping was done: “Smile and stare deeply into the camera.”
I’ll do better next time.

Great job Greg!! I love how at the end the gal says that she likes the name of your shop.
I thought you were excellent, and the content came across very clear and concise.
Thanks!!

Perfect answers. I love the Web MD analogy. But …. SMILE next time! A nice big Greg Swann smile. π

Wow…what was the traffic spike like on you site after they plugged it?
Pretty cool opportunity.

I am glad that you got the video on your blog. Apparently I accidentally recorded the wrong channel (There is more than one Fox Channel on that darn TiVo thing), however the funny part was that I got to see Russell’s No Hassle Listing commercial…
By the way, being on camera is not easy. I have first hand experience with that by recently participating in making training/demo video’s for realtor.com. Smiling, remembering scripts, or even worse, “winging it”
without scripts was very difficult – at least for me…

I don’t think you can watch local TV for more than 30 minutes without seeing Russell’s smiling face beaming back at you.
I thought you did well Greg, though you did fail to hold up a little cardboard sign that said, “PhoenixRealEstateGuy.com”…

As I commented earlier- OMG… FOX!
After following your months of Zillow analysis and opining, I was nervous about what you would say (especially since we’ve never talked over the phone)… I’ve read everything on Bloodhound from Zillow is stupid to Zillow isn’t so bad to Zillow’s a good tool…
Although I think WebMD has more legitimacy than Zillow, I liked that you noted it’s a retroactive tool that is more helpful for big picture transfer information!
As we say (incorrectly) in Texas, ya done good!

Fabulous job, Greg. And big props to the most lovely camera girl! You looked exceedingly dapper and are blessed with a voice of authority which would make James Earl Jones proud. I’m with Russell, though. Smile next time! (This coming from the girl who has a tendency to revert to Elmer Fudd mode every time a public audience is present).

Bless you all, and thank you. This was a fun experience for me. I want to do it some more. π

Nice work! I thought you definitely offered some good insights. That’s exciting to be interviewed on something that you know a lot about… rather than just being a random person being interviewed by the News on the street.
Wasn’t it cool how, at the end of the clip, the lady complimented the name of your business?? Now that’s great! Whenever a newscaster sort of “breaks character” and reveals what he/she truly likes/dislikes, it definitely makes the audience listen in a little closer. Did you notice any increases in business after this broadcast?
