Just as a matter of disclosure, our mortgage lender has filed another Notice of Trustee’s Sale against us. As I have discussed here before, we’ve been surfing all our our payables for quite a while. I don’t love doing this — but I don’t hate it either — but it’s what we can do to keep the doors open when there is not enough money coming through those doors. We’re lucky to be in business at all, considering how many other Realtors in Phoenix have been wiped out. This is not a tragedy on our end; we’ll buy our way out of hock before the Trustee’s Sale. And, of course, this is actually not any of your business at all. But I never want to be in a position that some noxious busybody can make a truthful statement about me that I have not first made myself.

As you know Greg, you are a member of a rather large tribe, 10,900,000 folks in this country own a home that is worth less than the debt.
I have always appreciated the openness you have demonstrated about your business and your financial affairs–way beyond the norm!
when times are tough I like to channel the dude from monte python movie claiming it was only a flesh wound!
The good thing about the world today is they don’t eat you for running into financial trouble and they dont put you in debtors prison.
I am very confident you will navigate the current stretch of rapid waters and arrive at the other side.

Bless you, sir. Thank you. I have to laugh, because, despite everything, we’re having a good year. We’re going to come out of this market very strong. It’s just the getting there that’s a problem, for now.

3. A person noted for special achievement in a particular field:
In the ways many of us know you, this indeed describes your “bold exploits….courage or nobility of purpose.”
You run while most crawl, and do when most won’t.
You will…..

You bet. The cash-flow swings seem to be settling down — that is, settling up — month by month. We’ll come out of this market very strong.

Greg,
I can only imagine how tough business is for you. I am now on the other side of the business in the Wells Fargo Workout group. I focus on the commercial side, so I see so many large commercial investors facing a bankruptcy or losing their properties.
The interesting thing is they all have good attitudes about it. They believe in their ability and they know they will be right back in business when the market turns around. Its a great illustration of the fact that people can take your money, but they cant take your wealth.
Good luck with everything, but I am sure you will survive.
